Dan Rather is stepping down from his post as CBS News Anchor.
I am no fan of Rather, but it is kind of sad to see him bow out under the shadow of the forged National Guard memos (Is there a connection?). It is hard to maintain your integrity after you become forever linked with the most dumbass journalistic phrase of all time: “Fake, but accurate.”
Farewell, Dan. You had a good run.
