I have seen this great dance part that has the guy holding one of the girl’s hands while he spins her horizontally close to the floor with her body held straight out. I have seen it done on ice and on the dance floor. If you recognize this move, what is it called and do you have any clips of it being done?

Sounds like a [twist lift](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twist_lifts) in figure skating, except there’s no hand-holding.

It’s a [death spiral](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_spiral_%28figure_skating%29) in figure skating.

Oh, wait, does the OP mean when the guy spins on a pivot spot spot? Then yes, death spiral. Although in a skating death spiral, she doesn’t leave the ice completely.

I thought he meant when he spins her on her own horizontal axis but stays still himself.
