Has there ever been a contestant as savvy as Donald? He really thought about the free style and how to get outside the box.
Loved the jewel-encrusted cheese heads his supporters were wearing.
It seems to me that for the last several years, the judges have manipulated the final scores so the vote always comes down to the viewers. I’d be interested to see if that’s the case.

Looking at the lineup of all this season’s contestants at the beginning – who would you have picked as Least Likely to Begin a Sentence with: “Remember Cheryl and Drew’s freestyle from Season 2…?”
He’s said that he’s been a fan. And it showed last night. I loved their freestyle. (I thought Mark overdanced Katherine in theirs and Cheryl & William’s felt choppy and frantic to me). Donald for the win!
I hope some of this cast gets invited to All Stars. I know Donald will be playing Football. Katherine will probably be touring. Maybe we can get William & Roshon in All Stars.
I wish they hadn’t done the Insta Dance in the final. Its too important a moment for the final three to make it harder with Insta D.
Geez, this entire first hour is nothing but filler. I should have gone to Western Sizzler after all. Now, I’m stuck with a reheated tv dinner. :smack: Just to see these eliminated yo yos dance the same stuff from weeks ago. It’ll be the second hour before the final dances happen.

I’m not surprised at all. Donald had the same organized football fan base as Hines. He’s a Super Bowl athlete in his prime. I said last night his performances were more exciting… Donald is a good dancer but doesn’t have Katherine’s grace or fine lines. Donald does have charisma and really gets the crowd excited.
Katherine started running out of steam a few weeks ago. She had three difficult weeks in a row. She got a second wind this week, but her jive didn’t have the energy it did week 2. She’s an opera singer and didn’t have the stamina or fanbase of a NFL player. I do hope this experience leads Katherine to the West End or Broadway. I can see here staring in a musical singing & dancing.
I’m just glad William got third. His over scoring and over hype by ABC has bugged me all season.

Due to work-related issues I didn’t get to see the main finals until after the judging, and without (I hope) giving too much away, I think the eventual winner had the most ambitious dances of the evening, but that their freestyle had a remarkable number of awkward, clunky moments in in the middle section.
Anyway…
I don’t have a big problem with Donald snagging the trophy, although I was pulling for Katherine for her season-long body of work, and this despite being generally put off by her partner.
Still, enjoyed the season overall. Gotta say I’m lukewarm about the planned all-star series. Watching a bunch of people who I start out knowing, and caring, next to nothing about, unleash their inner glitter monster, is much of the fun for me.
Not just football fans! I hate football and I voted my fingers off for Donald last night.

Good point. Depending on who comes back, it could be either really good or really bad. Seriously, though, I hope they don’t let any champs back.
Ugh. I was checking in on the first hour while watching the Glee season finale, so saw very little of it – but when I saw Jaleel was up next I switched back to Glee, even though it was still on a commercial.
