Satan
January 20th

Those born on 1/20 are intensely alive individuals who are very comfortable
following their impulses wherever they lead. The capacity to make snap
decisions and act on them is highly characteristic of people born on this
day. Improvisatory rather than painstaking, they take life as it comes, no
matter how chaotic or upsetting it is, they feel they can handle it. Their
own internal state is often chaotic as well, although they miraculously
impart an orderliness to their work, most often due to technical ease in
their particular medium.

Humor figures prominently in the makeup of these vibrant people. The most
dire circumstances are often alleviated, lightened by their ready wit. But
such a fine sense of irony also serves to protect a profound inner
sensitivity. Though they are fond of jokes and will even play the fool
themselves if it suits them, they are very proud individuals who take
themselves very seriously indeed.

January 20 people have a deeply human quality which endears them to their
family and friends. Despite the fact that they display a nasty temper and
are sharply outspoken in their views, they are quickly forgiven by others,
for there is no malice in their outbursts. Because of their love of fun they
may be taken for superficial, except by those who really know them. Actually
1/20 people often lead a highly private, even secret life, and share their
hopes and dreams with but a few intimates. Most 1/20 people are by nature
big-hearted, and therefore share without a second thought. However, later
they may well feel a bit put upon if they find the other party unworthy of
their generosity.

Although not always in the best of health, 1/20 people are highly resilient
physically, emotionally and mentally, and capable of surviving many
catastrophes in their lives. Somehow they always seem to pull through,
buoyed by an incurable optimism. Although they are generally on the side of
the underdog and have strong protective sympathies, 1/20 people can
themselves be very dictatorial, a role for which they are hardly suited.
They are not particularly adept at forcing others (including their children)
to obey the rules they set down, and perhaps because their own freewheeling
style implies a kind of disregard for such restriction, others don’t take
their authoritarianism seriously.

Emotional, expressive and caring, these larger-than-life people may have
glaring faults and make many mistakes of judgment, but do so with a singular
absence of malice. Their insistence on a positive attitude toward life, and
their courage and stick-to-it-iveness are an example to others.

Wow, this is weird. I’ve never met anyone who has the same birthdate as me and here on the SDMB, I share mine with Phil and Phouka ( 11/27) the year, a fine year, 1966.

I win…I’m older…hey…wait…

Don’t mean to burst everyone’s bubble, but on average the chance that _no one_ on this message board shares your birthday is approximately 0.00066 (unless you were born on Feb 29th, in which case the probability is 0.16). In fact, on average, 7 people will share your birthday. I love looking at those things and seeing how well I identify with them especially now that I’ve seen James Randi’s demonstration. See [http://www.science.mcmaster.ca/Psychology/psych3p3/randi.99.html](http://www.science.mcmaster.ca/Psychology/psych3p3/randi.99.html) . From the site:

On October 29, 1961 I was born.

On October 30, 1961 Nikita Krushchev made his first public denunciation of Stalinism, an action many see as the first step in the eventual collapse of Communism in the Soviet Union.

While I don’t feel I deserve all the credit for ending the Cold War, I think the cause and effect here is obvious.

No need to contemplate, although you will anyway. It means that you have a hard time saying no, you feel guilty if you don’t pick up the check, sometimes you’re a nympho, other times you’re a nun, and your birthday party is always cool because somewhere nearby, someone’s shootin’ off fahrcrackers.

Pretty close?

Here is mine - February 14, 1962.

See. . . I knew I had an excuse for acting the way I do - It is my mothers fault for giving birth to be on this day!

February 14th

THE DAY OF THE COOL QUIP

The quick-witted individuals born on February 14 are usually masters of the
short, ironic and sometimes devastating comment. They have what it takes to make people laugh, but also the capacity to make them think. Abbreviators, they take what others might need an hour to say, roll it into an attractive little bon mot and simply come across with it for all to hear. Lovers of jokes and stories, tellers of sometimes tall tales, and not above practical joking, February 14 people bring their witty outlook to bear on every aspect of life around them. None of this is meant to suggest that February 14 people are somehow superficial. Humour, eloquence and acerbic comments are but a means of expression. It is true that those born on this day do not specialize in taking themselves (or life in general) too seriously, but this is in no way reflects on their work. It is more indicative of a
philosophical outlook.

Less highly evolved individuals born on this day can be overwhelmingly negative in their approach to life, sometimes behaving in a destructive or power-seeking manner. They can make the mistake of placing themselves above human laws and social rules, believing that they are somehow exempted from karma and the retribution of fate, “bad energy,” or the like.

Characteristically, they are caught unawares when a heavy blow falls.

All February 14 people must beware of their irony turning to sarcasm, of adopting a mocking or derisive tone. Such an attitude only arouses opposition. Although others might find such dark humor funny for a time, it can eventually wear rather thin. Of course, everyone likes a good laugh, but
the ultimate concern may be the object of the laughter. Those February 14 people capable of joking about themselves are far more sensitive to this issue, but here as well, they must not allow self-deprecation to go too far.

Speed of thought and mental concentration are pronounced in February 14 people. Their ability to focus on tasks in the middle of an uproar is quite remarkable. Yet those born on this day have a decidedly physical side as well. They enjoy all sorts of sensuous activities, which allow their brains a well-needed rest. Not to have to talk can be a great luxury for these
verbal people. Consequently, they may choose to spend their free time with
those less intellectually oriented. Their friends are often earthy people who, though intelligent, know how to relax and have fun.

## February 14 people must control their tendency to keep others on the defensive. Moreover, if they can apply some of their talent for critical insight to themselves, they will benefit greatly. Allowing themselves time alone, away from their busy involvement with their surroundings is key.

2/25/62 - Do with it what you will.

THE DAY OF THE HIGHER CAUSE

Although those born on February 25 are often formidable individuals in their
own right, they only reach their full potential when giving their all for a
cause greater than themselves. Those born on this day have a large measure
of confidence and self-respect but generally believe that universal goals
have greater meaning than personal ones. Also they intuit that by plugging
into a higher cause, their own power is only magnified.

Not infrequently, February 25 people come into conflict with those around
them. That they are critical of social mores is not surprising, since they
see society as being in constant flux and turmoil, perhaps unworthy of a deep
commitment. As children, February 25 people often rebel quite openly against
their parents and other authority figures, and react emotionally to what they
perceive to be injustice. Because they often do not find peace with
themselves until later in life, their adolescence and early adulthood can be
stormy.

In their late thirties and forties, February 25 people usually deepen their
commitment to a worthy interest, perhaps art, philosophy, religion or an
ideal of what humanity could be at its very best. Once an interest of this
kind takes hold of them, they will devote ever increasing time and effort to
it, publicly, privately or both. However, it is usually a happier state of
affairs when they do not radically depart from their preexisting life but
build on it in a healthy, organic way.

Those born on this day have no time for meanness or pettiness of any sort.
They may evince a regal bearing themselves and do things with a grand
gesture, yet rarely adopt a condescending or elitist attitude. The most
successful of February 25 people are thus able to communicate their high
ideals and sense of purpose to others. The less evolved of this day may fail
to convince others of their sincerity and therefore be perceived as
proselytizing or claiming types. The success, and indeed happiness, of
February 25 people is often in direct proportion to their ability to
communicate without arousing antagonism. In the worst cases they may come to
feel self-pity and frustration through being misunderstood.

## Giving is generally more important for February 25 people than receiving, but they must be sensitive to the fact that those on whom they bestow their gifts may be less than eager to receive them. In such cases those born on this day only prime themselves for feelings of rejection. Instead, toughening their stance and adopting a more no-nonsense attitude based on mutual exchange may be a more suitable approach for them and ultimately a healthier way of relating to others.

One complete set of morals for sale to highest bidder, new in box.

Here is mine. Oh, I mean - here is opalcat’s.
I didn’t really find much of me in this thing. Which was dissapointing, because most of the time When I read these general things I can find a bunch of stuff. Maybe I wasn’t even born on 2/11? Maybe I have been right all these years, and my parents have been holding back. I really did sprout out of a shoe box, as a 9 year old? Wonders will never cease.

pat

February 11th

Many born on February 11 make a contribution toward improving the quality of
life
around them. Such improvements may be of a conceptual, inventive nature or
of a
distinctly hedonistic variety. In either case, the physical well-being of
those close to them is likely to not only be looked after but improved. The
key concept for February 11 people is improvement, for they believe that
things are never really as comfortable or efficient as they could be.
Although comforts and luxuries may result from their efforst, most February
11 people themselves are not hedonists. It is only the less highly evolved
individuals born on this day who give themselves over to an unremitting
pursuit of pleasure. This can actually work out quite well for a time, but
inevitably spells disappointments, jealousies, possessiveness and pain. For
more highly evolved February 11 people, improving the lot of others is a
creative task which they pursue with great ardor and dedication.

In contributing to the quality of life (living standards, diet,
entertainment) of others, Feb. 11 people may not only wish to make life
easier and more pleasant, but also more meaningful. Improvements of a
practical nature may only be a means to allow more time and energy for
intellectual, creative or spiritual concerns. Indeed, those born on this day
are remarkable in that they are able to enjoy the pleasures of life without
becoming mired in them or losing sight of what is most important.
Freedom is a central theme in the lives of February 11 people, particularly
in regard to
overcoming limitations. Transcending the limitations of their body, whether
overcoming congenital or acquired handicaps or just shoring up their
deficiencies, can be both challenging and rewarding for them. In fact, Feb.
11 people hate to see themselves or others held back by any sort of
disadvantage, whether physical, mental or financial. Unfortunately, in their
desire to improve the lot of friends, family and acquaintances, they may
demonstrate a better way of doing things with all the best intentions but
wind up being resented for it.
Those born on February 11 can overlook the fact that most people prefer to be
left alone to do things their own way, even if they make mistakes or do
poorly. Certainly it can be difficult to watch foolish or stubborn people go
on making the same errors or failing to take advantage of opportunities for
improvement, but that is precisely what those born on this day will sometimes
have to do. Feb. 11 people who rise high in society can be regarded as
mavericks and antagonize more reactionary spirits who are threatened by
change and progress. Thus, in order to remain successful, they will need to
cultivate a large measure of tact and diplomacy, and become more sensitive to
those situations which are best left untouched.
