It was my understanding that the show was supposed to be more of a standard reality show, but then Danny hit bottom and nearly derailed the whole thing. He said he’d go into rehab if they’d keep on filming. He knew he was enough of a desperate fame whore that he’d have a better shot of sticking with it if he could keep doing the show. Or something along those lines–it wasn’t supposed to be as trainwrecky, but when it worked out that way they kept the cameras rolling. I’ve only seen one episode. It was depressing; I don’t think I’d watch again. I confess that I really liked him as a DJ when he was here in Detroit. I give him credit for being honest about his talent and his fame. He knows he’s a washed-up ex-child star, and not much else. He gets it. ---

I remember an interview with Mark Hamill-don’t remember what it was about specifically, or where I saw it, but he was talking about the time he was a guest star on _The Partridge Family_. It was before he did SW, and this was during the first season of TPF. At one point, Danny got into a big fight with the kid who was playing the younger brother, Chris. (The actor left after that season and someone else was cast). After Mark and some others broke up the fight, he said, Danny was absolutely nuts. He was sitting in his trailer, hyperventilating, and he was so pissed off and hysterical that he gave himself a bad case of the dry heaves. Sounds like he’s had problems for a loooooong time. (I tried to google for the interview but I couldn’t find it. Sorry!) ---

This isn’t exactly earth-shattering, but a few weeks ago I saw him and his new victim, I mean wife, on a design show on HGTV. Celebrity Homes or something. He was much calmer than I’ve seen him, but then it was HGTV and crazy ain’t gonna fly.
