I saw that story a few days back. The baby ducklings are so cute, but that is one IDIOTIC momma duck! Here’s hoping she doesn’t try hatching another brood in the same location … ---

Well, to be fair to mama duck the little one who jumped didn’t seem to be any worse off than the others, me thinks that whole “near fatal” thing was a bit melodramatic and they would have probably been ok jumping. Probably. Glad the guy caught em though! ---

I love Cute Overload. I squeed over this for an hour when it was first posted. Of course, I had just helped a mama whistling duck and her babies cross the road that day, too, which I thought was a nice coincidence. Here’s a [video](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LqljxbUt9xc) and a [couple](http://www.flickr.com/photos/troubleagain/2668573993/) of [pics](http://www.flickr.com/photos/troubleagain/2668574311/) of them. ---

They’re lovely–what kind of ducks are those? (I’m so used to only seeing mallards). I like baby ducks. 🙂 ---
