Since she was in the engine, how about FOD?
Oh, she looks like velvet! (Velvet! Awesome kitty name!)
She looks a bit like a cat I used to have.
Jaguar, of course!
Good on you for your quick thinking and kind heart!
I had a grey cat once, and her name was Fog. I’m also a fan of Gaelic.
Ceo (pronounced “kyoh”) is fog in Gaelic.
I like Serendipity, Sera for short maybe. I’m hesitant to call her Miracle and Mira for short because my other cat’s name is Mara. By the way, they are not excited to meet eachother.
Lilth is classy, although she was Adam’s first wife who killed her children. It has a certain cat sound to it.
Milagro is also cool.
She is very, very sweet by the way. Very affectionate, likes cuddling very close to me. She is currently sitting on my chest while I lay on the couch. Does the cute kitty head bump. Still need to get her to the vet for some deworming and ear mite medicine. She lets me pick at her and groom her, pick out fleas and ear mites and stuff. Gosh, she’s so lovable. It makes me sick to think of what might have happened if I someone hadn’t found her.
What model Toyota? (Camry might make a good name.)
Given her aptitude (or beginner’s luck) for crossing multi-lanes of pavement, how 'bout “Frogger”?
My youngest and I had a sqeeeeee fest at baby kitty pics! 3 cheers for saving her!!!
I go now and scritch the ears of my two kittehs if I can find them
She is pretty. I like the little steak on the forehead. There’s some cat like thing in an anime with a diamond shape on it’s forehead but I’m blanking on the name and the anime I saw it in. Although it’s not exactly a diamond shape on her that’s the image that popped into my head when I saw her.
She’s adorable, and that was one awesome tale of derring-do. Glad it had a happy ending!
She looks like this other cat I wanted to adopt (someone else got to her first though) - I’d already named her Mary Sidney, Countess of Pembroke in my head. I’d call her Sidney for short. (My current cat came with the name Olive, which suited her so well I just kept it.)
She’s beautiful! I don’t have any name ideas right now, but I just wanted to say that you’re my hero for taking the time and effort to rescue her. I’m a sucker for rescued kitty stories with happy endings.
What is the term for a mark that bleeds through on a painting?
Impegio, impegmato, pegamento…
Oh she’s gorgeous. Such a hero! You must give her a good name.
Yasmin?
Suri?
Oh, how about Bindi? Because of the mark on her forehead?
Pentimento.
Apparently something that was painted over marking the “new” painting.
Kirara. Search for images for the cuter kitten form. The color isn’t right though but it’s a nice name.
RyoOhki.
Good on you for rescuing the itty bitty kitty!
A lot of the names above are great; take your pick.
But you have to wonder what the cat was thinking as it started to cross the highway, and in the succeeding moments.
“What kind of world have I entered into? Will life continue like this? Do I have to live in the engine compartment of an automobile forever? Why is this human pursuing me? (I have enough problems as it is.) Who cares about fleas? At least my whiskers aren’t burning anymore. You can call me whatever you want. Even “Cat” will be fine. As long as I don’t have to live in the engine compartment of your car.”
The engineering term to work, i.e., be stressed under heat and vibration such as under the hood of a car is to"dither".
She’s so lucky to have found you, and you her! Brava!
How about naming her Ubasti, or just plain Bast, for the Egyptian goddess of cats?
