# Dark Legacy: The Rising

If I understand it correctly, it seems to be a 1v1 deck-builder, with a leveling system. I think the idea is you start with a small deck with weak (“Level 1”) cards. After each round, you and your opponent add cards to your decks, from your level or below. At certain break points (level 5 and 10 and maybe others), you can add new categories of cards (“faction” cards - you can only have cards from one faction at level 5, then from two factions at level 10). You play 20 rounds, and whoever wins at the end of 20 rounds is the Champion of Titan! I think.
It’s not very clearly laid out. The attempt at explaining it with semi-in-universe fiction is…not good, on several levels.

Oh, ok. When you “add” cards, you add them from a seperate pile to your deck, then shuffle?
Seems like a cool idea, but i wonder how good it works in practice.

It’s fairly slick, actually. Deck-builders can be a lot of fun- check out Dominion or the Legendary games (Marvel, Alien, Predator).

Aye, i have played Marvel, and i suppose you add cards there from outside your deck too. lol 😃
Did you hear there’s a Marvel Legendary: Venom expansion coming out by the way? I wrote about it some other thread.
