Walmart has been out of economy-size ammo for two weeks. The shooting range has a waiting list each and every day. People are stocking up on guns and ammo like it was booze in the last week before Prohibition started. All because they’re certain Obama intends to do everything he can to restrict and ban guns. The latest rumor is an upcoming 500% federal tax on ammo. Say it ain’t so O!

Are you really worried because a bunch of gun nuts are stocking up on ammo and acting crazy?

Let’s wait until there’s something real to worry about.

Is “Economy-size ammo” ammunition sold in large quantities, or ammunition of sufficient size and destructive power to destroy economies?

While Obama has supported several gun control measures in the course of his political career, AFAICT he has never advocated or even suggested anything like a federal tax increasing the cost of ammunition fivefold.

As for the stockpiling of firearms by people credulous enough to believe such rumors, all I can say is, a fool and his money are soon parted. Maybe it’ll be good for the economy, though.

He has. Repeatedly.

You got anything more substantial than rumor? Or are you clinging to those, too?

People are getting their black guys mixed up. That was [Chris Rock’s](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eFcVwDw4YLE) idea.

> **Address Gun Violence in Cities:** Obama and Biden would repeal the Tiahrt Amendment, which restricts the ability of local law enforcement to access important gun trace information, and give police officers across the nation the tools they need to solve gun crimes and fight the illegal arms trade. Obama and Biden also favor commonsense measures that respect the Second Amendment rights of gun owners, while keeping guns away from children and from criminals. They support closing the gun show loophole and making guns in this country childproof. They also support making the expired federal Assault Weapons Ban permanent.

What is this Gun Show loophole I keep hearing of? The last time I bought a firearm at a Gun Show i still had to fill out ATF From 4473 and do a NICS. The only reason I was able to walk out of the show that day with the firearm was because I have my CCW, which in Florida allows you to bypass the 3 day waiting period. So, what exactly is the Gun Show loophole?

Oh yeah, stop buying up all the Blazer Brass you assholes. Leave some for the rest of us.

It depends on what state you live in, **Amp**.

[Gun show loophole](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_show#The_gun_show_loophole).

> [@](#):
>
> The “gun show loophole” is a term coined to describe the legal sale of firearms between private individuals at gun shows in states where this is legal. When these sales take place at a gun show, some perceive a “loophole” in the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS), although these laws have never applied to individual-to-individual sales of personal firearms. United States federal law requires persons engaged in interstate firearm commerce, or who are in the business of selling firearms, to hold a Federal Firearms License and to perform checks prior to transferring a firearm, but there is an exemption for private sales by individuals who are “not engaged in the business” of selling firearms, or who only make “occasional” sales. Unlicensed private sellers are permitted by law to sell privately-owned guns at gun shows, or at private locations, in 24 states (as of 1998)
