# Das Rheingold at the LA Opera!

So LA dopers, I know I can’t be the only one that likes opera. Does anyone want to go see the Ring cycle with me? Das Rheingold starts in February.

Aren’t they performing only half of the ring cycle? I’ll have to go look again at their website.

I personally would prefer to see their Magic Flute. One day I want to see a complete Ring of the Nibelung production, but with two small kids this year is not the time.

As I understand it, they’re doing the first two this season and the second two next season. And then summer '10 they are doing all day performances of the complete cycle. Of course, I might be misremembering the plan.
