# Date next to clock on Windows screen?

And if all else fails, I suggest getting a desk calendar and placing it on your desk immediately to the right of your monitor. 🆒

I’m gonna have to agree with According to Pliny. I’ve been using tclockex for probably 7 years now and it’s fantastic. The only very minor gripe I have is that since it was written for Win98 it’s background color doesn’t match exactly the silver color of my system tray (I use the silver color scheme in XP).

You can set the date and time to be viewed in any way/color/font you want. Also, with just a single click on the clock a nifty lil calendar pops up. You can set it to stay on to as you go about other business, or to go away as soon as you click away from it. Such a great little tool.

You can also try Chameleon Clock - it works under Vista also, plus supports thousands of skins and has a calendar and nice alarm feature. (download from [www.softshape.com/cham](http://www.softshape.com/cham))
