You, **RK,** if I remember, are in California(as am I) You posted your OP at 10:22 last night. For **panache** (in Ohio), it was at 1:22am this morning. Posts always are “today”. The next day, it changes to “yesterday”. After that, you’ll see the actual date. ---

I suspect this is a stupid question, but since no one else seems to have a better solution; have you done anything to your display related to colours, high contrast, etc.? I ask because I see the date/time posted in light gray. I wonder if you could have made it invisible rather than really making it go away. ---

Not that I am aware of. And I can’t find anything in the setting edit page that might have caused it. You don’t suppose my screen is fading away, do you? It seems to be okay otherwise. ---

Oh, you know what? I went through a lot of ads and pointed them out to adblock to block them. Maybe the date got blocked as part of that mass blocking. ---

What do you see in the bar about the poster’s name? Do you see the icon for new/old post and blank after that, or is the entire gray bar missing? See the [image here](http://imgur.com/IwFG0hN) - what do you see where it says Today, 01:33 PM? Try clicking in the “Guest” (or whatever title) under the user’s name, and drag up into the post above to select the text (see the [image here](http://imgur.com/3wOBiSB)). If you see the date after doing this, it indicates some issue with the styles or custom color scheme. ---

Try disabling Adblock temporarily (using its drop-down menu), refresh the screen, and see if you can see it. ---

There used to be an Undo most recent block type of option, but I don’t see it anymore. So you’d just have to go through your list of filters and delete the ones that start with “[boards.straightdope.com](http://boards.straightdope.com)” and remove them until you find the one removing the date.
