I can’t move to Santa Barbara, the only way I can afford to live here is my job, and they don’t have too many of my kind of jobs there, even though the real estate is the same price range. My sister spent the last 7 years there getting an education. She actually managed to do her BA, Masters, and PhD all in that time. Being the overachiever that she is, she was offered a full time professor gig at the University of West Florida. She seems to have done the smartest thing. She bought a big gorgeous house on a canal with a dock and a pool, near the beach in Pensacola for less than what I could pay for a 600 square foot condo in Oakland. It’s amazing what the humidity will do for property values. Unfortunately that took away my random excuse for visiting. Didn’t somebody propose a north/south meeting a while ago? ---

From what I read, Medea was Jason’s (as in Jason and the Argonauts, out searching for the golden fleece) first wife, daughter of the king that owned the fleece. So they got married, then later Jason dumped her for a younger woman. Given all that, it seems Jason wasn’t the one who got the raw deal. Admittedly Medea had a rough time, but it looks like the kids were the ones getting screwed. I’m pretty impressed with myself that I wrote back with any kind of accuracy at all, and I did get your joke. I’m calmer now that I’ve indulged my interests in the complementary pleasures of guns and mixing liqour and prescription drugs. But I’m still on my soapbox. I don’t know what makes a guy attractive, but as for you women, I have met several of you and have seen pictures of some of the others and have read all of your posts and I want to know something: ARE THE GUYS ON THIS PLANET BLIND AS WELL AS STUPID? I’ve never been burdened with a great respect for the taste and average intelligence of my gender, but this is ridiculous. You should have to beat them off with a stick, so to speak. ---

Just the breaks - everyone’s spread over about 11,000 miles, from me to Wyldelf - the closest to me is about 200 miles to Falcon, i guess… the only one who’s STATE I’ve been in in a year is Nymysys and Porcupine.
