I liked his nonchalant way of coming out. He wasn’t on the cover of People (yet…) and it wasn’t a big presser. He just casually mentioned it. I don’t have a problem with closet celebs. We still live in a world where that can hurt your career. Sad but true. Weird coincidence. I saw Spamalot’s touring production Wednesday night and despite DHP’s absence in the cast, he was on my mind. I actually wondered, in the theater, if DHP was a confirmed gay man. I knew of the rumors, but I never knew his status. The next day, this story hit the net. Weird. ---

In other news, the Pope is still going about his business in the Vatican, and bears are still going about theirs in the woods. But if coming out publicly does something positive for DHP–whether it’s personal or career-related–more power to him. 🙂 ---

Awhile back, I took some flack on a thread when I mentioned that three of the stars of Frazier were Gay: Pierce, Butler and Mahoney (Niles, Bulldog and Martin characters). It was certainly no secret about any of them when I lived in West Hollywood and had friends working for the show. Although I liked Pierce as Niles on the show, he seems to be quite an annoying, pompous little prick. In several interviews he has made some arrogant comments about television and he tends to gush on and on about the true “art” of the theater…not that I haven’t heard all that before by thousands of actors, but Pierce has bitten the rather wealthy hand that fed him and made him a household name, and now is resorting to the age-old theater mantra of “only theater is a real art form”. ---

I remember “hogtied teenage pizza delivery boy in the back of AB’s car” as being pretty high on the list. ---

Anyway, it would be with nerdy assistant chef dude Paul, not Little Elton. Trust me. 😃 And, \*\*silenus, \*\* I always just thought AB simply really enjoyed putting gadgets together. After all, he has attached a pasta maker to an ironing board, smoked his own bacon in old lockers, and built an elaborated turkey-frying rig. Less frugal than lookit this neat thing I made. ---
