At the beginning of this movie it says, “When hell is full, the dead walk the Earth”.

If hell is full, and the dead walk the Earth…then where do they go after they die again?

Interestingly, this question really only applies to the original DotD. In the recently released remake, the only ones who come back are ones bitten and infected. Anyone else who dies, by non-zombie means, does not come back.

Therefore, if you accept the “Hell is full, go to the mall” premise, you must have anyone who dies come back. Unless of course, all the rest killed are Born Again Christians who seem to have the monopoly on getting into heaven and therefore would have a place to go… assuming there is not a “No Vacancy” sign at the Pearly Gates too! Haha.
