# Daylight Savings Time: Why is the US congress split on this matter

They do. That is why the time zones are already about 7.5 degrees to the west of where they should be as I’ve pointed out a couple times already.

That’s what I grew up with, too, and what I have now. We just get up from dinner if the doorbell rings. And lots of houses run out of candy or energy, and turn off their lights by 8:30 or so, so it’s not like people are staying up late for trick-or-treaters.

Hmmm. I hadn’t thought about that. I would be Greenwich Mean Time. But it would just be 6.5 hours. All the time.
