I confess to watching sporadically over the last year or so, when I’m at the gym. So I only see it once or twice a week, didn’t know who anybody was, and I thought the Marlena/killer plot was vaguely amusing until they pulled this “possession” bit, and then I decided the hell with it.
Decades ago, my sister watched DooL. So I got interested, which spread to Mrs. FtG who has been a serious fan for all these years.
And she is P.O.ed bigtime. Hates it, hates it, hates it.
I’m trying to convince her to watch thru the killer story arc, then stopping. Like watching the finale of “Sex and the City.”
She has heard that one of the dead will be brought back. (I always suspected that several would be.) So we discussed who it might be:
She said: Definitely not Jack.
He said: Definitely Jack.
C’mon, his pregnant widow will have hooked up with another man. Perfect time for the Dead Husband to reappear in Soap Opera Land.

I never liked the “two Romans” situation. While I’m glad they got rid of one Roman, they got rid of the wrong one.
And it is all Stefano’s fault.

Rumor has it Marlena" dies and it comes out that Hattie was made to think she was Marlena and vice versa all this time. He said you find out Stefano is still alive and orchestrated the whole thing. I’m assuming this means Hattie did the killing and John kills the real Marlena thus fulfilling the profecy. The fact that Marlena dies is an educated guess by me. This is a rumor I’ve heard throughout the killing spree (or at least variations of it).

I really hate this show. I have a job and school which leaves me little free time and what do I do? Watch a friggin soap.
If it is a Dream, I am going to throw lots of Patrick Duffy Memrobilia in anger at NBC’s windows.
I don’t watch DOOL, but I read through the whole thread, and it sounds like it doesn’t suck as much as GH has been sucking since last spring…
My mom has watched DOOL continuously (yes, in spite of any stupid story line, she sticks with the damn thing) since the very first episode. Lately she’s been hanging out on some DOOL message board and has followed all the speculation.
I asked her “well, isn’t it Hattie?” (you see, I stopped watching it years ago when Jack and Jennifer first went off. It lost all its appeal to me after that. I tried to get back into it, but then the f**kers killed off Jack and I will NEVER EVER watch it again. EVER)
She said “No, it’s not supposed to be Hattie. One of the writers had an online interview and said it was definitely Marlena, but there will be a twist, something that has NEVER been done on a soap before.”
Which has me wondering, “Well, goddamn. Why did they go through that stupid Hattie having plastic surgery and studying Marlena all that damn time?”
And she went on to say that the current belief on her Obsessed Fans Message Board (not it’s real name, but should be), that it’s a PARALLEL UNIVERSE MARLENA.
Which I think might actually NOT have been done before. Can’t be a clone, can’t be a dream, can’t be demon possessed, can’t be a brainwashed double. All those have been done.
