We had a great time at Falc’s last night. It was a small group - Falcon, weirddave, SqrlCub, dcnewsman, iampunha, Geobabe, and myself (Mrs. F. didn’t make it :(), but a lively one. [Two](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?postid=1016458#post1016458) [threads](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=53391) have already resulted, neither of which is a traditional ‘minutes’-type thread. Best part, for me, was picking up on a [Firesign Theatre](http://firesigntheatre.com/) reference by Geobabe, which meant that we immediately proceeded into a wonderful torrent of quotes which was total gibberish to anyone else listening. We popped champagne corks at nmidnight, put on _Also Sprach Zarathustra_ at high volume, and occasionally pulled iampunha off of his online chat to actually join the group. 😉 All in all, another great gathering - thanks, Falc, for hosting again! 🙂 ---

And when we read the thread about amy we had some nice ‘death music’ going . . . 🙂 ---

Hey! Happy New Years and shit. I’m a grouchy Arlingtonian who doesn’t much like to destroy the illusion that all of you are shadows on the wall instead of humans, but in case you are, let me tell you that I wish you all the very best. Good hunting and great harvest in this incontrovertible new millenium. ---

Run for the hills, everybody! We don’t want to be around when Monty reads that! ---

I’ll grant him, the greatest _living_ filmmaker is Spielberg. You are going to come to my [Dopefest](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=52939) on 3 February, right, **Geobabe**? 🙂 ---
