# DC Dopers - where's the fire?

From my office window I can see a pretty significant column of black smoke rising from deep NW. Given the size / distance it appears to be a sizeable blaze. Anyone know what’s going on? the [washingtonpost.com](http://washingtonpost.com), etc. doesn’t have nothing yet. DC Lunch Buch order cajun food?

This just in…  
A three-alarm fire at the Algerian Embassy at 2118 Kalorama Road NW has been doused, but smoke lingers in area north of Dupont Circle…

After I left my last post, I left work. I couldn’t see anything in that direction but a smokey haze.

Of course, I heard the location on the WMAL “Traffic on the 6’s” update. But by the time I got home, you’d already figured it out.
