I had a great time today. Well, except for the poor, misguided piece of sandwich that wanted to enter my trachea instead of my esophagus, and the spontaneous burst of laughing. (I should’ve warned you.) Y’all are a riot. Seriously. Robin ---

One of these days I’m going to remember to attend one of these. God knows my job isn’t keeping me very active. Congratulations Anniz and Montfort! I won’t be able to attend the next lunch bunch, since I’ll be in sunny Arizona for a friend’s wedding. But I truly do want to make one before I leave here at the end of May. ---

Yes, it’s Thursday again. Time to meet for lunch tomorrow. I started a new job last week at 11th and G Streets, so I can make it. Alas, my lovely bride-to-be, **Anniz** , cannot. But, she may make a cameo appearance on my new cell phone. Who knows? Only those who will be there will know for sure… So, who’s gonna be there? **Olentzero**? **RTFirefly**? **dcnewsman**? Any new folks? **SNenc**? **Valkyrie**? ---

The division I work in had a meeting this morning during which our supervisor applauded us for processing 55,000 property numbers last month. To compare, in February we processed 40,000. Given this good news, it is quite possible that my colleagues and I will be awarded with an extra hour for lunch tomorrow. If so, I will finally have enough time to meet with the rest of you. ---

I will try to be there, but things are hectic this week and we are hoping to get out early. If I’m not at the Metro shortly after noon, don’t wait for me. I’ll try to post again about 11 a.m. if I know one way or the other. ---

Yes, I should be there today - nothing holding me back as far as I know. ---

**Anniz** is on her way now to the Metro, and will meet me at Metro Center. Please wait for us if we’re late. ---

Yes, it is once again time for our bi-weekly lunch gathering. Shall we meet at noon Friday (Apr. 27) at the McPherson Square metro station (White House exit)? Who will be there? ---

Wow, a newbie to the Lunch Bunch! I’ll be there, so, **Valkyrie** , look for the guy with the long red hair. That will be me. Don’t look for the gorgeous Swedish woman on his arm, though, **Anniz** is still fighting the cold from hell (that I have, too), and won’t be there. ☹ [Previous page](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/dc-lunch-bunch/38283.md?page=8) [Next page](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/dc-lunch-bunch/38283.md?page=10)
