So I’ll be in Virginia Beach that weekend on business. How far are you from VB and can I get directions? Or, can I get directions that I’ll be able to follow given that I know nothing about the area? ---

Have I mentioned that I love you all, terribly? I feel so priviliged that y’all are coming. Heck, might have more dopers here than pals I know! Mrs Chance is feeling overwhelmed! **Jane D’oh** , Virginia Beach is quite a ways but here goes: Get on 95 North Take 95 North to the Capital Beltway, Route 495 Take 495 to the Dulles Access Road (this will cost you 50 cents) Take the Dulles Access Road to the Dulles Greenway towards Leesburg (this will cost $2.00) At Leesburg get on Route 7 towards Winchester Get off Route 7 onto Route 9 towards Charles Town, WV We’re about 10 miles up Route 9 at the intersection of Route 9 and Route 671 How’s that? ---

Well, it looks like I might be able to make this my first non-New York dopefest if I can get transportation. After meeting all of the great DC/Va/Md dopers who have come up to New York, I’d love to meet you all as a group. Plus I’ll take any excuse to drink beer and camp out. As I’m a car-challenged New Yorker, I’d have to take some form of public transportation down to the area and catch a ride with someone. I hope that this can work out. Bill ---

**Montfort** , you’re very right that the northern route through Frederick is the fastest way to get to our place from Montgomery County, no doubt about it. Well, it looks like my plans for getting to the party have come together, thanks to the courtesy of Geobabe. My plans for getting back remain a bit vague, but the worst that will happen is that I will be forced to stay in the mountains of northern Virginia for the rest of my life. **Billdo** , that’s what we have the run down guest house for. No water, no power, just some walls, a roof, and my dreams of building it up. And thanks, **Falcon** for the bump over the weekend. Now here’s some real news… The food is now arranged. At 2PM we will be serving: Fruit Plates Cheese Trays Veggie Trays Chips Soda Lemonade Punch Candy And the hot food gets delivered at 5 or so. Ready? Hang on… One 6’ Sandwich (18" of turkey, 18" of Ham, 18" of Roast Beef, 18" of a mix) 10 pounds of pork BBQ 1 tray (large) of pigs in a blanket 1 tray (large) of wings 2 trays of Vegetarian Lasagna (this is REALLY good) Fixing for Ice Cream Sundaes and Banana Splits Fresh baked pies from a local baker How’s all of that sound? Any feedback? Only 5 days until the party! ---

Billdo, I don’t know how late the train runs or how you’re plannig (hoping?) to get back to NYC, but if you need a ride back to Metro my suburban fits six comfortably, and eight if there are short people who can sit in the middle. And there’s always the spacious trunk, which can act as a seventh/ninth seat. ---
