DCI Finals broadcast was on ESPN2 tonight. Seemed like they did a pretty good job for their first time with the event. Yea, I had to watch a few commercials but at least I didn’t have to listen to the endless begging that always took place when it was carried on PBS. ---

I thought about watching it, but decided to do homework instead because I was _at_ finals (and quarterfinals and semifinals) and because I think I’d kill myself if I had to hear the Blue Devils’ show one more time. Oh, narration, why the hell are you legal? ---

Yeah, why couldn’t they just shut the fuck up and let us hear? I didn’t make it to finals, but I thought they did a decent job presenting for their first effort. They have to remember they’re trying to educate so next time around they have some new viewers to an event not a lot of people understand. I did like the segments on the various sections and what they try to present, and how they fit into the ensemble. ---

To my understanding there is a re-broadcast schedule. I took a quick look at ESPN2’s schedule and found it on Sept 20th, but it was only listed in a 1 hour time slot where last night was 2 hours. There may be other dates as well.
