Just curious. We heard Sqrl’s apology/explanation, but I’m still wondering why you posted, in his original thread, something that corroborated his setup of being menaced. I’m not calling you out; I’m just curious. But for safety’s sake, I’m posting this in the pit. ---

Before this thread gets locked off as well, I just wanted to step in and say that this whole incident **reeked**! There are way too many caring and decent people here to be playing such thoughtless and inconsiderate games. It may be naive of me but doing something like this just plain wouldn’t have even occurred to me. I just can’t see putting people through such a wringer, experiment or no. That you may have desensitized some of the people here (as mentioned elsewhere) is something that should fill you with shame. ---

First, it is in rather poor taste to hold one person responsible for the actions of another, and second, DC is out of town since Saturday. Was he supposed to post about a situation he knew nothing about ( remember, he had no way of knowing Sqrl had not posted, busy with all that packing and flying stuff) from some kind of phantom computer? The mods have handled it the best way they think and Sqrl has apologized for his lack of judgement. Why not just let it drop? ---

i think it’s just a holding action; it’s probably not a permanent state. they’ve done it a few time recently, when someone goes a little over and they need to be taken out for a time, either as probation or as a holding action until the mods think of what to do with them. recent examples, or at least the ones i can think of; **Anthracite RedDragon60** ---
