Unless something’s happened in the last day that I don’t know about, Warren Zevon is still alive. If you’re searching for the song, by the way, it’s “Werewolves of London”. “Monster Mash” was a hit for Bobby “Boris” Pickett, but it’s been covered a few times. The Bonzo Dog Band do a very interesting version. ---

Sorry about Zevon. I confused hearing about his terminal condition with hearing about his demise. Kudos to Letterman for showcasing him last night. :smack: Psycho Killer – Talking Heads Bad Moon Rising – CCR The Haunting – The Golden Palominos Bela Lugosi’s Dead – Bauhaus “Grimly Fiendish” – The Damned Two Dollar Wine – The Glands. No Halloween theme per se, but that song just sounds _so creepy_, and the album cover art is like a still from a 70’s horror B-flick. ---

Also add The Toyes “Monster Hash” Dave Edmunds “The Creature From The Black Lagoon” Lambert, Hendricks & Ross “Halloween Spooks” Mothers Of Invention “King Kong” Neville Brothers or Sonny Landreth’s “Congo Square” Almost any Dr. John The Night Tripper, but “Loup Garou” would work.
