2003 sucked and I’m not looking forward to the first few months of 2004 either. Having my furnace die and need $480.00 worth of repairs today didn’t make me any happier either. ---

On the Little Nemo front, 2003 was an upswing from 2002 (big turmoils in the latter half of that year). ---

The second half of 2003 was a lot better than the first half. I hope the upswing continues in 2004. ---

2003 wasn’t a bad year for me personally, but it’s been tumultuous for a lot of people I know and care about. That’s reason enough alone for me to be ready to kick it to the curb like a bad boyfriend. Bring on 2004, it’s time to start a year strong and get a leg up on it before it thinks it can get all out of hand on us. We need to show this little punk new year who’s the boss right from the jump. Good things this year: New job as a pediatric audiologist at a major children’s hospital. I **love** this job, and the people I work with are some of the best co-workers I’ve ever had. Bad things this year: Lost _all_ of what was left of my useful hearing. ---

If someone gets their feelings hurt over something that minor, they need to dial back the Sensistivity-o-Meter a few pegs. ---

2003 was a much better year for me than 2002. We moved into a great house, I lost 60 lbs, I made new friends, I got a job that I love, and everything is much smoother than it was this time last year. I hope 2004 is as good for everyone as 2003 has been for me. ---

I’ll be sure to consult you on every decision from now on. ---

2003 was by far the worst year I’d ever experienced, on every front. 2004 pretty much HAS to be better… God I hope so. ---

Well, I have to say the absolute zenith of 2003 was having tea with **Eve** at the Algonquin. I am eternally in (Platonic) love with her. OTOH, my career as an editor ended and right now I’m working waaaaaayyyy below my abilities for bananas, my partner lost both of his grandparents, I lost a friend that still hurts, and I got audited by the Virginia tax folks (apparently, I screwed up my math 3 years ago to the tune of $400). Still, I got to meet **Eve** and **Oxymoron** (who, in addition to being stunningly handsome, is brilliantly witty and charming as hell). ---

(eep!) (and I wasn’t even doing a vanity search!) 2003 has actually been a really good year, so I’m sort of bracing myself for the inevitable fall. (That’s the thing of good times and bad…both end.) But in the meantime I’m happy with the OxyBF, a job that doesn’t make me physically ill, and family I love. Eve, dear, I think we need to take you out for a drink… ---
