Jack, I appreciate the information. My own is about two decades out of date, and it’s an issue I’m ambivalent about, so I’ll read more and post less on the subject. ---

I think it probably deserves a pit thread to itself, but I have heard from several lefty enlightened environmentalists that there are way too many people on earth and if forcing all agriculture to be organic or banning GMO/pesticides/synthetic fertilizer leads to people dieing in Africa or wherever well that will be good for the planet. They aren’t joking either, but they have an idea so insane it pales in comparison to anything the tea party members they hate have ever said. ---
