There are many who wish to see our lives as a lifestyle. They wish to put us in a box, want our lives to be shrouded in secrecy for their comfort, and treat us as if who we sleep with is the sum total of our lives. What really bugs me is shit like this . I cannot believe that this is a website for any church. I’ve always thought that Christianity was about love, but by all means correct me if I’m mistaken. I don’t get why people even really care if other people are gay. IMHO what you do in the privacy of your home is your business and no one elses. Also I heard this by word-of-mouth a while ago: There are instances where men who had abusive mothers think they’re gay since they developed such a hatred towards their mothers who tend to be the first woman most males know. It sounds some-what plausible, but I doubt it’s as widespread as the person who told me (my mother BTW) claim it is. Any knowledge, clarifications, cites on this? If I remember I’ll ask my mom about it tomorrow. As for the life-style thing: I remember being too young to give a shit when my cousin came out and I never gave it much thought until I went to a public school in fifth grade where there was much gay-bashing. I still remember people thinking I was gay and ostricizing me for a while after I said something like “I don’t think all male ballet dancers are gay, and even if they are I have nothing against them.” I almost started to buy into the crap about gays being radically different until that day I went Christmas shopping with my much older gay cousin and, someone cut him off. I beleive his exact words were: “Get the fuck out of my way you dumb asshole!” I thought it was really pretty funny, and it really proved to me not only that gay people from Pittsburg act alot like normal people from Pittsburg, but also that my dad’s not the only one who talks like that in the car. ---

Gosh, I’m entering this thread late. I need to spend more time in the Pit ☹ Today, my gay lifestyle included renting a video and cleaning the kitchen. I also gaily answered some emails, gaily edited 15 pages on the book I’m working on, and right now I’m gaily listening to some music. I also went for a gay walk. This evening, I plan to gaily meditate. And I think **Doc Cathode** ’s Cthulu angle should not be ruled out. The _Shadow Over Innsmouth_ is a great “coming out” story. The reason no one’s ever successfully summoned Cthulu is because you have karaoke the ritual in the Necronomicon to the tune of “It’s Raining Men” in order for it to work. ---
