The fact that this guy falsely claimed to be the source of the story says nothing at all about the actual source of the story, or the veracity of the story. The story didn’t even come out of MSNBC, so they would presumably have no way to verify who was Fox’s anonymous source. I will certainly admit that this follow-up story does indeed reflect very badly on MSNBC, and how they validate their information. ---
