I don’t think it will ever fail to amaze me that anyone, much less someone given authority, would really think I am ignorant for not knowing a detail of history, especially one that has zero to do with me. It also amazes me that I was _expected_ to have known I didn’t know that (huh?) and to take the time to find a source of information on it. And then to be so incredibly rude about it - hint, that is not the way to fight ignorance, just so you know. It isn’t like I argued against it, I simply didn’t know that we haven’t had much in the way of new blood, due to laws in another country. I’m sure I could come up with a historical fact you don’t know - would that make you abysmally ignorant about the basic facts of the world around you? Why not? ---

Heeeeeeeeeeeeee. Oh, dear. Yeah, curlcoat, not knowing that _slavery happened_ and that we didn’t, like, ship all of the slaves off to Liberia or Canada or Mexico or something after it ended, is not exactly a trivial historical detail like knowing that Taft got stuck in his bathtub. We sort of had a whole war in which it featured somewhat prominently. ---

I saw a post on FB today (yes, yes, shoot me) in which someone made the comment “There isn’t a thing as “race” in terms of color, because that term refers to the two species male and female.” Seriously. **curlcoat** is at THAT level of dumb. ---
