# Dear Netscape, I really AM myself

I recently installed a new hard drive. When I put my backed up mail folders into the newly installed netscape, it wouldn’t let me access them and said I may not have permission. Does anyone have any idea what I can do to alleviate this? Lots of good jokes in there I wanted to keep… Thanks.

MacOS X? Apple has a “fix permissions” patch. Or you can use chmod or one of the GUI utilities like Xray and reclaim the files as your own.

Are the files READ ONLY because they were backed up to a CD.
Try removing the READ ONLY attribute.
