That wasn’t exactly a drive-by, I’ve been in this thread way back on page 3 but that reply seems to have gone by unnoticed. As for the quip itself, it seems that’s what this thread has degenerated to, with **Sauron** in a supporting role. Are we in the one-last-joke-before-the-credits stage now? I hope so. ---

I drive somewhat wasteful (5.7 V8, 3.5 V6, 1.8 Turbo 4) cars - but I can get about 30 on the highway with the V8. That is, amazingly, close to the 1.8T. Aerodynamics, light weight, and tall gears make a huge difference. When I buy a mini, hybrid, fuel cell, or propane car I’ll get really judgmental on everyone’s ass. ---

So you’re a 5.0 or a 4.6 guy? Flame? Um, OK, you’re mamas 99 Cobra got recalled because her horsepower wasn’t high enough. I’ve got more torque in my left over engine oil than you do… Actually, I love the new supercharged Cobras. I pretty much like whatever is fast. But, strangely, I don’t drive fast. Considering insurance consequences, not strangely. Of course, everyone needs [hobbies](http://www.speedworlddragway.com/). Ohmigod, I said “you’re” mama’s, and left out the apostrophe. I think I just flamed myself. Can you imagine the starts with the Hummer versus, say, a Z06 Vette? Hummer goes…mmm…second…mmm…third… Corvette screeches out in a cloud of tire smoke. ---
