You’re going to get ripped for generalizing this to all right wingers, but after having read the comment sections a couple of places I saw this story posted, I don’t know if I can say it’s not a fair generalization. Who is Marion? ---

Sickening. And threatening his _children_? Sasha’s what, _eight_? The Freepers are all saying he was a plant to make the right look bad – and some of them were moaning that those who threatened Bush never were arrested (not true – and some were jailed, IIRC). ---

I don’t know what the “right wing” is, anymore. I used to know, used to argue with them. They were mostly sensible enough. Wrong, but sensible. These people, I don’t know what the hell they are. But, yeah, the “regular” right has a lot of responsibility here, they’ve been stoking the incendiary emotional fires for some time now, what the fuck were they expecting? The people who put out the crap about offing your Granny knew they were lying, they did it anyway. So a discussion that, by all rights, ought to be boring as shit, full of numbers and spreadsheets and deadly, deadly dull… Is fucking insane, grimly batshit people who look like they’d be willing to beat a porcupine to death with their dicks.
