Why would the town hall hate mobs be expected to be a securituy threat to the President? He isn’t _at_ most of them. He still does get more death threats than any President in history. By the way, **athelas** , I haven’t heard anybody expressing any fear that the town hall mobs are going to “SNAP AT ANY MINUTE.” Cite? With the exception of the idiots who bring guns or carry signs screaming for Obama’s children to be murdered, the complaint is only that they are trying to cockblock communcation and prevent Congressmen from being abe to speak to their consitituents, not that “they’re going to snap.” Nobody has said that. How about you guy quit makin’ things up. ---

Another meme that has crept in is “when the LEFT do it, it’s FREEDOM OF SPEECH.” I have yet to see anyone on the left say that the town hall outrage is not protected speech, or that it is substantially different than legally protected speech from the left. I have heard a lot of people say it’s annoying, that it’s ill informed, and that the rubes doing it are unwitting foot soldiers for corporations, but it’s hard to refute any of that so instead you dismantle an argument nobody made. ---
