I am fucking glad he’s gone and hope it’s for good because I had given up participating in many threads due to him. He was just tawling for attention. Good riddance. The board is a better place now that his stupidity will not drown out more reasonable voices. ---

I’m certain the Staff will make a post telling us generally why, so speculation is of limited value. I just never got into debating with decemeber. I guess because he didn’t really push any hot buttons with me. It was interesting to note how well he kept his cool and remained far, far more polite and reasonable in his text than most of his critics, even after having been gang-tackled on nearly every OP he made this year. I’m not saying the gang-tacklings were right or wrong; I don’t want to get into that, especially as I don’t know enough to say. Maybe being an outsider to most all those debates, my opinion has some bearing, though, as it always appeared to me a a very disinterested outsider that he was being baited, goaded, and attacked from every angle. Once again, I’m not arguing that he did or did not deserve it. I’m only discussing appearances here, which are, of course, decieving. His ability to keep cool under that sort of non-stop conflict was admirable. I agree, after his official warning for lying he restarted the protesters against Bush encourage terrorist thread **again**. The old **december** was a bain on the fight against ignorance. The new **december** seemingly deceided that actively lying was fine if you were on the right side. * * * BTW, somebody needs to come off the cross. :rolleyes: ---

The misattributed Clinton quote drew the attention of the Mods, then the (possibly intentional) misleading Bali timeline did him in. ---

I usually stay out of these threads but I’m another who feels this place will be duller for the loss of **december**. I almost never agreed with him but I can’t recall seeing him do much that was banworthy. There’s usually a good reason for these things so it can’t hurt to hear why he’s gone. ---

Which of these statements is ruder? A: Fuck off, asshole! No-one forced **december** to post inflammatory and dishonest OPs. ---

I’m not in the least bit surprised. It’s damn shame, because - like Collounsbury, Satan and Danielinthewolvesden - he was intelligent, articulate and had interesting perspectives. He’s the sort of person I come to this site to commune with. But he wasn’t content to debate as a person “fighting ignorance”; he wasted his time and ours by being a propagandist. There were several occasions over the last 18 months or so where I thought he just might have turned away from it - coinciding, no doubt with warnings from staff - but a guy with 7000+ who posts as he has in the last month is just determined to stomp on the thin ice.
