December 19th here. And yeah, I got gypped growing up. My parents would do the one present on my birthday thing and tell me the rest would be under the tree. ---

Dec 8th here. Just far enough from Christmas when I was a child, but as an adult others usually seem to have alternative engagements and few remember my birthday anyway. Last year no-one, not even my family, remembered. ---

Wait wait, _ **Am I too late to make it on the calender??** _ I’m the 17th. And I _always_ get squished presents, if people remember at all. On the other hand, all my fellow Decembabies, you can work the allustrious frosty b-day by trading out all your generic gifts (you know, candles, bath sets, stuff like that) for christmas presents to give to your friends! Saves money and is efficiant to boot! Always gotta look at the bright side. 🆒 ---

My daughter’s birthday is December 26th. It sucks. We did not plan it that way. We were actually in the process of looking into IVF at the time we found out about the pregnancy. We were told our odds of conceiving by on our own were minimal. I will have to find some way to make it up to her. 🙂 ---

Re: all the December babies who got gypped on double gifties - my mother’s family was bad about this, which is kinda surprising because not only am I a December, but I have a sister who is in early January and a cousin Deanna who was born December 26. The three of us routinely got one gift at Christmas from other family members who would say, “Oh, that’s your birthday gift too.” My mother and my aunt got together and fixed that one. In April, when my Aunt Rita hosted a birthday party for her son Joe, Mom and Aunt Kathy wrapped Joe’s gifts in Christmas paper and told Rita that these were not only his birthday presents, but also his Christmas presents for the next Christmas. Rita caught on pretty quickly, and of course the rest of the family heard about this immediately. That year was the first time that I, my sister and Deanna all got Christmas AND birthday presents! Through various marriages and births, my extended family now celebrates NINETEEN December birthdays…and no one gets double-duty gifts. ---

I’m another one born on the 13th. Yes, my presents often get squished together (given at same time) or combined (one “big” gift) with Christmas, esp. with when from family (not SOs). But I think anymore it’s more because it’s the time we’re all together. My aunt’s b-day is the 18th, and while I always seem to give her her b-day present at Christmas as well, I always make sure it’s separate and WRAPPED IN BIRTHDAY WRAP not Christmas paper! (This is somehow key in my mind.) ---

My X boyfriend’s birthday is on New Years Eve. I’ve always felt SO bad for him. I know a couple of people with Christmas birthdays as well, which sucks just as much. Ah well, we’re all getting older, so birthdays don’t seem as big a deal anymore. ☹ ---

December 28th, and definitely suffered from squishing and forgetting. Once as a kid I got not a single present to open on my birthday - everyone either doubled up with Christmas or forgot and gave me cash. ---
