Thanks, **Thudlow Boink**! I do know about the liver toxicity problems of acetaminophen as I worked in the medical field for years. I’m not in a lot of pain, so I’m mainly taking three prior to bed as a prophylactic measure. Went to the walk-in clinic today for X-rays, nothing broken. Just a bad bone bruise that’s probably swollen more due to my warfarin. Got a splint out of the deal which is making it difficult to type accurately. Good thing I don’t have to type for my job! /facepalm (off-handed, of course) I think at the New Year’s Eve party tonight I’ll tell everyone it’s a self-abuse injury and let them stew on that 😃 ---

You know what’s a lousy way to end 2012? Food poisoning. We tried a restaurant we hadn’t tried before on Friday night. My first piece of chicken was fine; I thought the second was OK until I took the skin off and it just didn’t look right. I stopped eating, but too late. Right now I’m having the closest thing to a meal since Friday (soup). I think I was this sick once as a kid, but not for so long. On the plus side, I’ve lost 10 lbs. ---

I am still bored. I am going to get the fuck out of here soon to see if there will be fireworks downtown. I have no google-fu today, the only things I find to do are ice-skating and a ball that is $60 a pop to get in. ---

If everything else wasn’t enough (see my post from yesterday, tonight on our cat we discovered what we thought was just a skin irritation is the top of a tumor. Pathology back in about a week. I’m done. ---

I can’t wait for the new thread: Fuck all you morons who have been lighting off illegal fireworks since 8 o’clock. Fuck the county sheriff’s office that won’t do anything about it. I’ve been wrestling with a 60 pound dog who is terrified of the noise the damn things make for the last few hours; she’s been trying to hide under me, the bed, or the other dog even with Benadryl and doggie Xanax. Poor baby dog. ☹ She’s finally asleep, so maybe I can get some too. Happy New Year! ---

**Cheez\_Whia** , dude, do you live by me? Actually my jerk neighbors started before 8 PM, kept going through a light sprinkling of rain and have at least stopped yelling with every demonstration of pretty sparkly lights. They’ve been lighting fireworks for over two weeks now, I’m hoping they’ll stop soon. Fortunately my 135 lb dog is totally oblivious to it. He got miffed at me once or twice because _I_ jumped and made the bed shake. Its ok, of course, if he makes the whole bed shake because he has an itch or is running in his sleep. (He’s so cute!) I hope that your pup gets to feeling better. For everyone else in the thread, please accept my gifts of tissues, hugs, chocolate, ect and I hope things get better. **Flatlined** , if it makes you feel any better, I grew up in Houston and was terrified to start driving, but that probably had to do with my cousins and their … lack of driving skills and the repeated results. They’re doing much better now and that is what is important. 😛 Bravo for taking the feeder roads, just be careful for the police in the little faux cities set up in Houston who love to give out tickets. Stinkers. :mad: ---
