A joke I had never noticed until just now. The Chinese restaurant is named Bo Ling Chop Suey Palace. They have a big neon sign which is actually a Bowling sign with the w turned off. ---

[According to this](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0085334/movieconnections), it’s been referenced visually in The Simpsons, The Flintstones Movie, Black Christmas, and Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters. I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a bunch more references to it in pop culture. ---

Don’t get what the big deal is. I felt the same way about PB. Loads of people told me it was terrific and when I finally saw it, I was underwhelmed. However, I have found that it grew on me with repeated viewings, and it does have some awesomely quotable lines. Like _A Christmas Story_, it’s a very earnest, charming film. ---
