My 20s weren’t all that great, but my 30s were pretty good. I got married a month before turning 30 and had my daughter at 31 - coincidence??? Good morning! I really didn’t want to be up this early, but Higgs was fussing and I do have to get up early for work tomorrow, so here I am. And I did sleep thru the night, which is good. Today’s agenda includes laundry, making jam, and maybe running the vacuum cleaner. I’m not sure what to think of this person who inquired about the camper. She says she’s in NJ and she’s willing to drive all the way down here to buy it, sight unseen. She offered me $600 less than we’re asking and I countered at $300 less - I’m not giving the thing away, fercryinoutloud! So she said she’d think about it. I also told her cash only. We shall see… Overcast with a slight chance of rain the next few days and temps closer to the normal upper 80s. I’m glad I got the grass done yesterday - it’s too wet out there today. I think it may have rained overnight. Clothes will go in the dryer today for sure. Once my sweetie gets up, we’ll get ready to go for breakfast. Meanwhile, I surf. Happy Last Day of July!!! ---

I had to make a panic run to Leonardtown - the jar seals I bought yesterday were the wrong size - Food Lion didn’t have the smaller ones and I didn’t notice when I grabbed the box. So I took them back, then ran to McKays, where I got the right size for less than half the price shown at Food Lion. So yay! 😃 The jams are in the boiling bath and all the dishes are soaking in soapy hot water. First load or laundry is in the dryer, second in the washer. No wonder I’m sweating!!! :eek: ---

They put us in a separate greenhouse-type room at the end of the restaurant (along with one other table of two people that was seated later - this was the whole room). The waitress was a piece of work, first she argued with someone at the other end of the table about the drink he ordered. Since we were ALL _shivering_ from the AC we asked her to adjust it. Her response was that it is coldest in that room but it flows to the other rooms so that they need to keep it cold in there; however, the next room had one table filled. :smack: I think I had a fever on the ride home, turned the temp in the car up to 74°…& then back down to 60° (the lowest it’ll go) & opened the window. Eventually decided I can’t continue to drive so I pulled into an industrial area, turn off the car & turn off the lights. Industrial area should be nice, quiet & dark at 9:30pm on a Sat evening, right? I’m not there two minutes when a car buzzes past me. Shit, unmarked cop car. He goes up into a parking lot turns around & lights me up with his spotlight. “You alright?” I was legally parked but now my nap was interrupted so finished the drive home (another 20 mins) & right up to bed. **{{Butters}}** It was sad times when I left irk yesterday. Detailed AGM’s SIL died suddenly Friday afternoon and he was still teary on Saturday. She had cancer and they knew she didn’t have much time left but they didn’t expect it to be as quick as it was. ☹ But at least it was quick and she didn’t have to suffer so they’re taking comfort from that. ---

Jammage is complete. First load of laundry is put away, second is in the dryer, third is in the washer. When the 3rd load is done, I’ll have a little studio time. Still sweating - whew! ---

I feel so lazy lately. I don’t have to irk today, made enough money this week so I can take today off. I should be catching up on stuff but instead I am lazing about. Maybe I should embrace my inner sloth, Hug the lazy so tight that it squirms to get away. However, tomorrow is trash day and the fridge won’t clean out itself, and the litter box won’t clean itself, and the dishwasher won’t unload itself, and the vacuum won’t run by itself - maybe I should buy a roomba. ---

It has that rare quality so few dresses have these days: _ **sleeves** _! (Well, it comes with a shrug jacket that has sleeves.) And it was on sale so I got a pair of earrings to go with it. Now I just need shoes and some new pantyhose and I’ll be set. I also discovered that TJ Maxx sucks. Everything looked like a burlap sack held up with spaghetti straps. ---

We had tboomers move through that have brought the temp down to 81 Amurrkin. Nice! However they did cause me to snooze out in the recliner with the teevee on for almost an hour and a half. I have a feelin’ sleepage will not come easy tonight.
