Would a better win condition be “You win when all threats to the Defenders of De’endee are vanquished and at least one member of the Defenders of De’endee is still alive” be better? Honestly, I don’t expect this to be an issue. How many people sign up for a mafia game just so they can break it? 😃 ---

Whomever reaches the top vote count first dies. Romanic, NPCs (our vanilla players) cannot earn XP and learn new powers. ---

I’ve never played Mafia but spent the last couple of weeks ODing on past threads (Weird Wild West, Doperville, LOTR, You-Solve-It, Simpletown, and Genre Fiction of course) and I find myself very interested. Would this be an impossibly complex version for a completely ignorant newbie to play? ---

If you actually like reading old games, might I suggest looking up Mafia IV. That was a spectacular game in a lot of ways. See also the spin off mafia site that we started, [Idle Mafia](http://www.idlemafia.com/). In particular read the Batman game (Titled Arkham Nights) and the Tresure Island game (Titled on the Good Ship Hispanola). Also, I don’t know if anyone is updating it anymore, but here is [the mafia group’s wiki](http://wiki.flyingcowofdoom.com/mafiaWiki/Main_Page). ---

Missed the edit. It is [Mafia V: The Cult of Seekham](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=426256)you are looking for, not mafia IV (which doesn’t exist on this board). While I am at it, [This was probably the most fun I had playing a mafia game](http://giraffeboards.com/showthread.php?t=1935), but I don’t know how well it reads.
