Well, not that it matters much, but I’m here to see the show. With all my chips on septimus, and the fact that I’m townie, regardless of skeezix’ guilt or innocence I feel I have the most to lose by a mislynch here. If he’s innocent somehow, we’re completely boned, and if he’s guilty, I’m boned beyond all bonage, and then it will be bon voyage for me. ---

“Maybe they all just packed up an’ left?” “Mayhaps. Or maybe they’re just bidin’ their time, planning something big.” Despite the lack of bloodshed in the morning, the day progressed with a sense of manic urgency. The discovery of a body would have been a kind of cathartic release; now, everyone was just waiting for the other shoe to drop. The day’s hunt was fruitless. No concrete evidence of the Lords of Slaughter could be found. “Still nothing?” The mayor of De’endee asked. “Not quite.” The barbarian responded. * * * “I was just settin’ traps! For defense! I swear!” Septimus shouted. A dozen well-armed adventurers scowled at him, their weapons drawn and pointed in a decidedly unfriendly way. “In someone else’s house?” “A guy like me survives, you know? Whatever it takes. Somebody tries to kill me, I don’t aim to be where the bullet is.” The mayor, a few dozen feet away, turned to the barbarian. “He’s not one of our people. Pretty sure he showed up when the rest of you adventurers did. Your call.” The barbarian picked up one of the deadly-looking devices Septimus had been carrying. He shook it gently. “Let’s see what the group wants.” * * * The adventurers argued back and forth about Septimus. Some vouched for his innocence, others recalled other suspicious things he’d done. Ultimately, they decided to kill him. Few could meet Septimus’ gaze as his captors dragged him forward. His noble visage seemed to flicker, uncertain. Just a trick of the heat, a few adventurers muttered to themselves. “Friends,” Septimus said. “Look at yourselves! Look at what you’re doing! You need me!” _innocent innocent innocent._ A few of the adventurers shook their suddenly-clouded heads. What _were_ they doing? Septimus was clearly innocent. How could anyone not see that? “I’m a paladin!” Septimus continued. “I can channel my god-given power to seek out and smite those Lords of Slaughter. I can be your weapon, and you’d just cast me aside?” _innocent innocent innocent innocent innocent innocent innocent innocent._ “Let him go.” One voice shouted out. A few others joined in agreement. _innocent innocent innocent innocent innocent innocent innocent innocent innocent innocent innocent innocent innocent_ The barbarian took an unsteady step forward. Septimus smiled at him, a comfortable smile. The barbarian reached down, untying Septimus’ bound hands– _INNOCENT INNOCENT INNOCENT INNOCENT._ –And stabbed Septimus through the heart. Septimus didn’t even have time to scream as he crumpled to the ground, lifeless. His long, greasy locks fell aside, revealing a pockmarked, hideous face. **Septimus, a Beguiler and one of the Lords of Slaughter, is dead. Night has now fallen, and will last until 6 pm central time on August 6th.** ---

Okay guys, don’t waste the night phase, what was the plan for septimus as guilty? I think I have enough credibility here that Suburban should be assassinated… However, I don’t want to ruin a good thing by assassinating a townie. That said, Skeezix has a bullet and he can use it for good. PLEASE, discuss who needs to die via Skeezix’ hands. My call was Suburban Plankton, but I’m just a guy and I have biases against Suburban due to the game-long friction. Is he really the best candidate? We could hit Weedy, or Inner Sticker, but I am not a fan of hitting Inner Sticker. He’s only number 4 on my list; if anything he would make a decent block. But then again I’d rather block Suburban Plankton or Weedy. ShadowFacts, I want you to leave Skeezix alone tonight please. I know you’re still kinda meh about trusting me or him, but if Skeezix tries to kill you, we lynch him tomorrow, ok? I need the paranoid doc/doc to work with Lightfoot, Skeezix, and ShadowFacts. Propose how we tackle the night phase. Who dies, if anyone? We could even ask Red Skeezix NOT to murder anyone. We could block him; that way if murders happen you know it’s not him, and then, the Lords might attack him because they DONT want him alive the next night. Please, everyone, plans on the table now. Don’t waste a moment. Lightfoot doesn’t have a whole lot of time. My suggestions off the top of my head: **PLAN ONE-** Skeezix assassinates Suburban Plankton ShadowFacts blocks Weedy Lightfoot investigates Inner Stickler doc protects Lightfoot, or if paranoid doc, flips a coin between defending Lightfoot or defending Red Skeezix, or even myself. I think I’ve made some enemies but if my death serves you, so be it. I’m willing to take my medicine. I earned it this time. **PLAN TWO** Skeezix assassinates Weedy ShadowFacts blocks Suburban Plantkon Lightfoot investigates someone and does not tell us who. Offer suggestions to Lightfoot. That way, the scums won’t know who to kill to prevent an investigation result. Doc protects Lightfoot/ Paranoid doc flips a coin. **PLAN THREE** Your plan, fill in the blanks. **PLAN X-** Skeezix assassinates nobody. ---

Also, we could do something completely unexpected, and block/investigate/assassinate someone in the **MentalGuy, gnarliecharlie, Normal Phase, Stanislaus** , and so forth, category. However, assassination is rather \*dire \*for a shot in the dark. Isn’t it better if we simply gain information? Say, investigate someone from the list, block someone else from the list, and assassinate one of the people we’d be lynching tomorrow anyway. Say we’d be lynching Suburban or Weedy tomorrow. Assassinate one of these, and have the other as the default lynch, then discuss the results of your blocks/investigations. That’s Plan _And Now For Something Completely Different_, or **Plan ANFSCD.** As always the final call is up to the roles in question, but a popular vote might help them decide, and also provide clues as to intent, or force a WIFOM situation where the scums support a bad plan against themselves, which I like. ---

So far I had nothing, though. \*\*Diver \*\*piled on septimus last time, went for Red this time; I don’t read that as strongly townie or strongly scummy, but it does seem like he’s not coordinating with the scumbags for a bussing or a save attempt, which is point in his favor. \*\*Septimus \*\*is obvious. Suburban and the others seem to be coordinating. It would be just plain lunacy for all the Lords of Slaughter to be coordinating though. Which of the suspects is townie? Which of them are coordinating scumbags? ---

You could go with the recommendation from your scanned townie target, just to be sure you’re not being deceived. That said, in my opinion, your scan isn’t as vital as your life. I want you ALIVE. I want the doctor to keep protecting you even if it costs your scan. We’re already down pedescribe, who could be a default Red Skeezix kill if we decide he shouldn’t kill anyone. I don’t think pede is coming back, and since he probably won’t be replaced, he needs to be killed off if he’s a lurking scumbag. Basically, the way we do that is via the lynch. Or, we could investigate pedescribe… If you investigate him it provides an incentive for the scumbags to murder him. You find out if he’s scum if he is, and you find out he’s a wasted lynch or assassination otherwise.
