I actully have a friend in Texas that owns a large ranch, and along with raising and showing beef cattle, she and her husband also have a sizeable herd of deer they sell for meat as well. They are not domesticated per se, but are managabe. She says that one of the hardest things about keeping them is the fencing- deer can jump a WHOLE lot higher than horses or cattle.
