# Defective iPod dock?

I bought[this](http://www.ilive.net/store/p/77-Portable-Dock-for-iPod-with-Radio.aspx) iPod dock today. However, it’s not working very well. When I use it with my iPhone (that it’s not optimized for) and Jango Top 100, it has this annoying static sound between songs (that static is not there when I use earphones, so it’s not the feed.) Is this normal or should I think about returning it?
