I don’t remember the names for early ATMs. I’m not sure when I started using them. I distinctly remember writing checks to “cash” at AAFES to get money from my account while in Georgia, and probably in Germany too. I think by time I moved to Texas, I must have received an ATM card. So, probably, the mid-1990s. They’ve never been anything except “ATM” to me.
In the late 70’s our local ATMs were called Handybank and Banker24, then MAC in the 80’s (money access center). I still sometimes refer to ATMs as MAC machines.
