And as far as TPM is concerned, Josh Marshall, who founded and runs that site, was a damned good print reporter before he went online. TPM’s been around since at least 2003, and I’m sure that if it had a habit of misquoting people, it would have been raked over the coals by the numerous wingnut propaganda factories who are usually reduced to making shit up to make the left look bad. I finally I figured out why Danconia doesn’t believe that Kirk really said it! Kirk was referring to the extraneous, non-governmental partisan bullshit that was being attached to perfectly legitimate funding bills. Bullshit that the Republicans are trying to use in order to obstruct legitimate government function. Danco must believe Kirk is a 6 fingered defect baby like he is because nobody he supports would actually admit to that level of assholery! ---

And he would be correct in calling it “not any better.” He’s just not correct in dismissing TPM as a source in the first place. Looks like the House GOP lost again, as they should! Come back and cry about it some more Danco! How does it feel like to get nothing because your side is crazy? You threatened a shut down, voted down a 3 week bill, got everybody talking about how impotent the GOP is, united the Dems, and still in the end you got NOTHING of what you want. Undocumented immigrants will continue to be in this country, paying taxes and taking jobs Americans don’t want, and there’s nothing you can do about it. I wouldn’t be so giddy except what you support is evil, so fuck the GOP for trying to play politics with the lives of innocent children and the security of the country. ---

Boehner’s probably safe, he blamed the Dems and the Senate GOP. He gave them what they wanted, which was to grandstand and blow hot air and (eventually) die on their own swords. They got nothing because they knew they overplayed their hand ---
