See, your mistake is judging by postings. I’m pretty damn staunch. I’m as staunch as they come. I would dare anyone to outstaunch me in a staunching contest. I’m making phone calls for the Obama campaign, I’m writing postcards, I’m doing everything I can to help my candidate of choice win the election in November. I just see no point in frothing excessively about it on the Internet. ---

If a few of you have not noticed, I will call attention to the fact that threads that are getting too far from actual debates in this Forum are being closed. I can (barely) tolerate the same shopworn arguments from both sides being repeated in eight or ten threads, simultaneously, but I see no reason why I should have to read those arguments in the contexts of personal attacks. Everyone back off the personal nonsense and stick to something resembling a discussion. [/Moderating] ---
