I don’t know if I have anything more useful to say than what has already been said ;), but I thought I’d threadshit and say thank fucking god I never had to go through this shit. I don’t understand parents who try to keep kids away from the other parent and I don’t understand parents who ‘let it slip’ for two years. ---

Perhaps, and this is just a suggestion, but maybe the OP should consider getting a lawyer. I know, I’m going out on a limb here, but sometimes the most unlikely ideas turn out to be good ones! I can totally understand why no one else suggested such an outlandish concept though… ---

Look, I don’t know why everyone else isn’t jumping to the obvious conclusion but, as an attorney myself (in the state of Missouri no less), I feel it’s incumbent to be the voice of reason and sound judicial advice. You should really go get some ice cream. ---

If he can’t afford child support, he can’t afford a lawyer. My un-legal advice is to spend the money you don’t have on copious amounts of grain alcohol. ---

Alright gotta go with the mandatory answer… but dude you need a lawyer. Once you have one, continue to try and work with the ex. Negotiations should not adversely affect a final ruling. You will of course want to follow you lawyer’s advice on what to say and what not to say, but a judge will generally view attempted negotiation favorably. In addition if you try to schedule a hearing today, you might get one in September, if you are lucky. The last time I requested a judgement on a point of disagreement in my divorce, I filed in February, and the hearing was set for mid August. A ruling would have come a month or more later. In the end my Ex and I came to an agreement in July. But without a judicial track forcing her hand, the negotiation track wouldn’t have ever started. And if are relying exclusively on the judge to give you satisfaction, you will have a long and expensive wait with an uncertain conclusion.
