Well, I hate to start another depressing thread, but I’ve just received some awful news. In light of the fact that I missed the original voicemail message, and didn’t hear it until tonight, and that I don’t have the means to get myself back out to California to say goodbye properly, I feel I should do _something_. I have just heard that one of my old friends has shot himself. I haven’t talked to the guy in at least a year or two, but he was a great guy, and was there for me when I needed help. I wish I could have been there for him. Chad, you will be missed. ---

Do something in memory of him. Donate to a charity in his name. Plant a tree. Buy a plank at the zoo. Buy a brick at the courthouse. Use your sadness in a positive manner. Sorry for your loss. I’m so sorry. Feeling helpless is terrible. If I can quote what Col.
