I’ve been reading his posts for years trying to figure out if he has any close relationships with anyone. I’ve never seen a message where he talks about any romantic relationship or close friendship he’s ever had. Of course, he could be extremely private about that, but somehow I can’t help but think that his black-or-white views of every issue are tainted by his solitude – there’s no one around him in his real world that can tell him anything different. ---

In that case…yeah, he would probably hate her for being a sociopath and a vicious murderer. AFAIK, he’s an equal opportunity hater…he hates all Americans with a deep but equal passion. Yup, there’s that. There’s also his tendency to assume any woman accusing men of rape is lying. And his attitude that any women who are feminist in this day and age are just trying to attack and disenfranchise men. ---

I’m by no means a **Der Trihs** apologist, but it’s my impression that, compared to when he first started posting here, he’s mellowed a lot; he’s become more reasonable, gotten less touchy, and developed more of a sense of humor. I know he has some issues, but I welcome his particpation here on the SDMB, at the price of occasionally having to shrug and say to myself, “Oh, that’s just one of **Der Trihs** ’s fixed ideas.” Plus, if I recall correctly, he has a self-imposed policy of not reading or responding to threads Pitting him, so don’t expect him to show up here and respond to your charges.
