Since my mom watches Fox News, and my conservative aunt (who seems too smart for this kind of shit, but anyway…) was also watching, I watched Santy’s first interview since announcing his Majestic RWNJ Candidacy with Trey Gowdy, who served some serenely floating softballs to the Florida Man. He was… fine. He didn’t make an absolute fool of himself, and he kept his bobbin’ wobblin’ puppethead in check. At the same time, however, he used terms like “woke mind virus” that, as clever as they seem to Ron, are gonna seem dumb to, you know, people with a brain. He didn’t seem to be a-sensing the evisceration that is coming from the God Emperor (half worm like in the books!) and the ultimate rejection that is coming from the American people as a whole, but _Run, Ron, Run_ (apologies to rabbits and other critters)! ---

I forsee several DeSantis allies trying to lure MAGAts away from tRump with soundbites like “We like conservatives who _win_ elections.” Which, naturally, will prompt Orange Julius Caesar to get pithy. The question, obviously, will be how many will see DeSantis as the new face of MAGA and how many will see him as a pretender to tRump’s golden throne. ---

Seems logical. DeSantis has been angling for the number two spot in anticipation of possible Trump conviction(s). That’s pretty much where any hopeful that might enter into the GOP primary wants to be. If it wasn’t DeSantis that happened to be polling at number two, they’d be piling up on whoever else it was that occupied that position.
