Thanks. That seems right, I seem to remember Richard Jaeckel, too. I can’t check the video until later, if I can find it on line, maybe Amazon instant watch.

Good thing I keep checking the thread.

Yes, I’m sure that’s it. Thanks.

> Here’s one: I’m pretty sure I saw it on TV the summer I spent in Colorado with my dad, which would have been 1967. Don’t know if it was in color or not, and I think it was European, which means it would have been dubbed into English. It was about the antics a unit of peacetime soldiers in what looked like WWII British uniforms, but I’m pretty sure they were Swedish (maybe part of a UN contingent).
>
> The one scene I remember well was when they were at a mountain lake and saw a hot babe in a bathing suit standing at the end of a pier. One of the soldiers gives a whoop and takes off after her, clomping down the pier in his combat boots, and grabs her to give her a kiss. He spins her around, and her face is butt-ugly, so he falls backward off the pier in shock.

Carry on Sergeant?

> Carry On Sergeant is a 1958 British comedy film about national service starring William Hartnell, Bob Monkhouse and Eric Barker; it is the first in the series of Carry On films, with 31 entries released from 1958 to 1992. The film was based on a play The Bull Boys by R. F. Delderfield and was adapted into a script by Norman Hudis with John Antrobus contributing additional material and replacing the conscripted ballet dancers of the novel with a married couple. It was directed by Gerald Thomas ...

I’ve never seen it, but it sounds like a Carry On film

OK, I’ve asked this before and stumped the Dope, but I’ll try again.
80’s movie, set in LA. Ex-army sniper as protagonist.
The only particularly memorable scene in the movie is set up like this: His girlfriend complains to him about some asshole drug dealers who live in the same apartment building. He tries to reason with them, and they tell him to get lost. The next scene shows them sitting around their kitchen table playing loud music and drinking when the lead asshole’s head explodes. Cops talk to asshole #2 and he tells them exactly what happened - they were sitting at the table when his head exploded. Cop looks out the window, and sees mountains in the distance, and knows who might have been able to make the shot.

This is a tv movie (ABC, CBS, or NBC) from the late 80’s probably 86-88. It is about a boy who moves into a new house and befriends a girl who is a ghost. The girl becomes a human again for one night only and on this night there is a big party. It has always stuck with me because it was so enchanting for some reason and I remember talking about it with my friends the next day. Thanks.

This has haunted me for _years_!
It was a cartoon, probably educational, but I don’t remember.
I think I was in elementary school with other kids.

**When did it come out?**
50’s or 40’s?

**Who was in it?**
It was a cartoon.

**What plot if any do you remember?**
I have no idea.

**What was special to you about it?**
There was a rainstorm and the raindrops turned into _raindrops shooting guns_!
I think they were machine guns.
It scared the heck out of me!

Can you name a movie from one scene?

Late 60s-early 70s.

Tough guy in a bar sticks his fingers in a shot glass, scissor-kicks fingers, and shot glass shatters.

MOVIE #1: Some scientists are trapped in an underground cavern which is roughly bowl-shaped. Fast-flowing mud is streaming down the sides of the cavern, and the little dialogue I recall from the scene indicated that touching this mud would be fatal. (I think at least one scientist falls victim to this strange mud in the last few minutes of the movie.) The last two surviving scientists (a man and a woman IIRC) escape the cavern and the mud by putting on some scuba gear and swimming out via a pool of water at the bottom of the cavern; there’s an underwater tunnel which eventually leads to the surface, but it takes at least a minute of swimming before the survivors reach the surface and safety.

I think that may be an “Outer Limits” episode.

I doubt if anyone will know this movie. It was a B-movie i saw in the early 60’s. I can only remember the end and that it scared the shit out of me. At the end (if I remember correctly) a guy drives an old car into some old wooden building that was full of water and the car gradually sank with the guy in it. I think the guy was the baddie in the movie.

I would love to know the name of the movie
